The Labour Party in Rochester & Strood has overwhelmingly selected local campaigner and long-term Medway councillor, Teresa Murray to be our candidate for the next general election. A local teacher and long term advocate for the residents of Rochester and Strood she firmly believes that we need to cotinue to invest in our public services and fight for issues important to women, including equal pay and extending womens rights in the workplace.

Teresa Murray is a committed local campaigner, who has fought hard for residents in Rochester and Strood. Her experience as a teacher, on the local council, and through meeting many residents over the last many years has given her a unique insight into the concerns of people living in her community. The local Labour Party overwhelmingly endorsed her as the candidate with charisma and clear ability to fight for the shared concerns and values of Medway residents. The same values that want to see continued investment in our public services, strong communities and neighbourhoods and social justice for all, and not just an elite few.
