Strood Trolley Graveyard Remains despite Tory pledge
Strood Labour have discovered that the pledge made in the 2007 Local Election to ensure our waterways were free of trolleys has failed. In an exclusive, Strood Labour are seeking to hold to account the promises made by Strood Conservative Councillors in 2007. Promises which have been consistently broken.
Commenting on the Tory Trolley pledge, Robert Heathfield stated
"Strood Tories stood on a pledge in the last election to clear up our local environment from this trolley scourge. They were elected on the mandate to work with the supermarkets to stop Trolleys being dumped.
Yet, only two years later, I am photographed next to the graveyard of trolleys, some of which are clearly the result of prolonged exposure to the elevements.
This is another example of local Tories failing to deliver and Labour locally holding these rusty 'trolleyed' Councillors to account."
